★★★☆☆
Overall, a mixed experience. The people were very friendly, airport pickup worked perfectly, and communication via WhatsApp beforehand was excellent. I’d give 5 stars for the people and service.
Unfortunately, the car itself was disappointing. It was a very old Renault with over 215,000 km, no parking sensors, very basic multimedia, no CarPlay, no windshield washer fluid, worn and rattling wipers, a constantly displayed error message (check injection), and a rather worn interior with a sticky steering wheel. Above 120 km/h, the wind and road noise became extremely loud.
One thing also felt a bit awkward: when I received the car, the fuel gauge showed only around 80%. I was told the tank was actually full and that the gauge sometimes didn’t display it correctly. However, when I filled the car up before returning it, the gauge showed full without any problem.
On the positive side, the car worked reliably and didn’t break down. The rental price was okay and included full insurance, which is definitely a plus. Still, for the price, I would have expected a vehicle in considerably better condition.
5 stars for the staff and service, 2 stars for the car — so 3 stars overall feels fair.

Travelling with young children always comes with its own challenges but this car hire place made things so much smoother for us. The car we requested turned out not to be available so we were given a better for the same price. Straight forward website, responded promptly to all my questions. NO HIDDEN COSTS! Promptly picked us up from the airport, very professional and informative of all that we needed to know about the car. The car was in great condition, well equipped. Took his time to find the perfect car seats for the kids. I would HIGHLY recommend this car hire. No doubt we will be using them again in the future. Thank you.

The car was nice and clean and runned smoothly all through the week.
The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. They also gave us a lift from/to the airport when we picked up/dropped off the car.
We could not be happier, and we truly recommend Rent and Drive to everyone that needs a reliable car i Cluj Napoca!
And to all people that are not used to the romanian traffic!
Please choose a company (like this one) with an "all included" price so you are completely covered if something happens.
The traffic and many drivers here are quite crazy!

We rented an automatic Dacia Sandero (perfect for 4-5 people with one registered driver) from Rentanddrive and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
The car was delivered directly to our accommodation in Cluj-Napoca, where we signed the contract on the spot. Everything was exactly as we had communicated via WhatsApp (we had previously sent our ID cards and driver's licenses). The vehicle was provided with a full tank of SP95 fuel, enough for 1200 km over 6 days, and with no security deposit—a real bonus—for €220 for 6 days.
The team was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. The car was very clean. Having a spare tire was a nice touch.
Throughout our stay, they answered our questions promptly. Returning the car was easy at the office next to the airport: we returned it with a full tank, as agreed, just 2 minutes from the terminal. They even dropped us off directly at the airport. No formalities upon return, no inventory check—a relationship based on trust, which is very much appreciated.
I highly recommend it!

We rent a car multiple times a year, but the first time we didn't have to pay a deposit or any other hidden fees. This was the first experience we had bad luck with 2 minor incidents. A bit unfortunate because this had nothing to do with the car, nor Andrei. Andrei is an understanding man we made a fair agreement with.
We want to thank Andrei for his fast responses, pro-activity and professionalism.
We would recommend it to everyone and we hope that Andrei would have us back when we revisit Romania 💚🇷🇴

I had an excellent experience with Rentanndrive! Everything was very simple, clear and fair from start to finish. The car was in very good condition, clean and exactly as presented.
A big advantage is that they came to pick me up directly from the airport and, at the end, took me back to the Cluj-Napoca Airport. Also, their office is only 2 minutes from the airport, which makes everything very fast and convenient.
There were no hidden fees or unpleasant surprises, which is very important when renting a car. Communication was fast and very professional, and the process of picking up and dropping off the car was simple and fast.
I highly recommend Rentanndrive to anyone who needs a rental car in Cluj-Napoca. I will definitely use them again!

I was looking for a car rental in Cluj with low deposit and no need for a credit card. I ended up with a great deal, very good car, and excellent service from Andrei. He replied to my web enquiry by sending a WhatsApp. I sent photos of my documents by WhatsApp and that was that. Andrei collected us from the airport and gave us the car. Definitely better than the major rental companies. Highly recommended.

I rented a Hyundai Electra 2023, 1.6 petrol from Rentanddrive to attend a wedding and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
The company waited for us at the airport, handed over the car quickly, clean and ready to go. Upon departure, we handed over the vehicle at the airport at 4am, and they were there on time, without any delay.
✔️ The price is exactly as shown – no hidden fees, no unpleasant surprises.
✔️ The car comes with full CASCO insurance, which gives you complete peace of mind during the rental period.
✔️ The only condition: return with a full tank – just as we received it.
My husband drove and was very pleased with how the car behaves – comfortable, stable and economical.
Rentanddrive are fair, punctual and professional. I recommend them 100% and we will use them again next time!

I rented a Skoda Octavia for 4 days in April 2025. The car was clean and well maintained.
I easily collaborated with the staff, who were kind and showed up on time both for handing over and picking up the car.
A positive aspect in the collaboration with this company was in the situation where the driver who initially sent the documents failed to be present when the car was picked up. However, I had good cooperation from the staff, who were willing to make the necessary adjustments so that someone else could drive.
There is no need for a guarantee, the displayed price includes insurance in case the car is damaged.
I recommend the services of this company and would come back in the event that I need to rent a car.

I recently rented a car from Rentanddrive and had an outstanding experience. I picked up the car at 3:00 AM and returned it at 3:30 AM — both times the team was punctual and professional.
The car was in excellent condition: clean, well-maintained, and ran perfectly throughout my trip. What stood out the most was the no-deposit policy and the fact that the price was exactly as agreed upon — no hidden fees or unexpected charges, unlike many other rental companies.
Communication was seamless through WhatsApp. They were very responsive, respectful, and clear in all interactions, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
One huge plus: the car came with full insurance, so I didn’t have to stress about potential scratches or minor damage or waste my time taking tons of photos before and after.
It was my first time using Rentanddrive, but definitely not the last. The whole experience was straightforward, honest, and hassle-free — a rare find in car rentals these days. Highly recommend!

I strongly recommend renting a car from Rentanddrive.
I rented two cars for one month, Skoda Ovtavia (2019) manual gearbox and Seat Leon (2017) automatic gearbox. The condition of the cars is very good, I have not had any technical problems.
I appreciated the fact that I only paid the rental price, I was not asked for any additional fees. Super ok staff, I took over and handed over the car without any problem. Upon handing over the car, I was transported free of charge to a town on the outskirts of Cluj.
Important to mention is that the vehicles have full CASCO insurance.
The rental price for a week is very good from my point of view.

Very happy with the rental service. I rented the car for 2 weeks without encountering any problems. Unlike other companies where you have to pay other additional fees, here I found a package with full casco, at a reasonable price. Although the site does not offer the option to leave the car at another location, if you use the WhatsApp service you can negotiate this by paying an additional fee
I was very pleased with the communication and the professional manner in which I received and handed over the car.
I will definitely use the services of RentADrive next time and recommend them to others who need them.

Meeting Andrei to pick up the car was seamless and stress free as usual; Andrei is extremely friendly and accommodating, he is easy to contact on WhatsApp if there are any issues and he’s always very accommodating for my stay. When we returned the car on the last day we met with our contact as planned, and he even offered to give us a lift to our final destination! We thought this was extremely caring and thoughtful, we really appreciated this. Andrei also made some good conversation with us and made us feel very welcome, we appreciated the extra lengths he went to provide an outstanding service.
Once again, the car was very clean and in amazing condition. We had no issues and I will happily use Rent and Drive next time I visit Cluj. They are the best car company in Romania, without a doubt!

Communicating the situation to them, there was no problem (or additional cost) that upon arrival (3 in the morning) we would be waiting with a ready-made car in the airport parking lot (preset pick-up point). Regarding the price, compared to what is available on the market in Cluj, I can tell you that it is the best, moreover, if I rented for a longer period, the company administrator would give me a different price without my asking for it ! We had a very good experience with renting our car and although the company had a hiccup with their booking system after we booked online, we've been kept informed about what's happening through good, clear communication over the phone and WhatsApp. Although the car we chose initially was no longer available we've been provided with another one from a higher price rental bracket for the same original car price. The car was in perfect condition and almost brand new with only ~8000 km on the clock. The pick up and drop off was very smooth and quick with a representative waiting for us at the airport when we landed and on our departure. Our return flight had a slight change of schedule so we returned the car an hour later than initially booked for. We communicated this with rentanddrive beforehand and they were very accommodating and made no fuss about it.
We'll definitely look at using RentAndDrive again.

No deposit needed and the car was clean and in good condition. Also there were no surprise costs or insurances thrown at us, the final price was the one on the site. The only extra payment was 40 lei for not washing the car but we knew of that from the beginning and were ok with it. We were a bit late with bringing the car back and there were no issues.

The car rental process from start to finish was excellent. The vehicle was unreal for our purposes. Nice car, clean and new model, high technology on this. The person who dropped the car was very friendly and helpful. Drop off was very straight forward. Excellent! We definitely rent again from this place.
