Rent a car Cluj Napoca
The cars presented on the website represent all the existing models in our fleet, but their display does not represent the confirmation of the availability of the models.
After placing a reservation request, the availability of the chosen model will be confirmed by email/telephone or WhatsApp by one of our representatives.
Please keep in mind that submitting a reservation request does not represent a firm reservation of the respective car.
The rented car from Cluj can be used only in strict compliance with the road legislation and all its amendments, decisions, or regulations amending or supplementing the road legislation in force on the date of conclusion of the contract.
Any violation of these rules in connection with the subject of this contract will automatically lead to additional costs, which will be invoiced to the customer.
The rented car cannot be used to transport people or material goods or to tow other cars, for a fee.
The rented car cannot be used to transport dangerous materials or prohibited by law, all responsibilities for these activities rest exclusively with the customer. Terms and Conditions Rent a car
The rented car will be used only within the technical limits imposed by the manufacturer and will not be used in speed competitions or car competitions.
In case of defects that occur as a result of these activities, the car will be prepared an activity report and a technical report and the customer will be materially responsible for it, and legal payment documents will be prepared.
The rented car can only be used by the person signing the contract or by a person designated by him, named user, and who will be specified in the contract.
Any change in this clause must be announced and entered into the contract. If this clause is not observed, the rental contract will be terminated.
The rented car cannot be used by novice drivers!
It is forbidden to drive a rented car by persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances prohibited by law, for the duration of this contract. In the event of a road incident resulting in a violation of this provision, the customer is liable materially, civilly, or criminally, in full, for damages.
The client also pays for the days he parked the car, the price being the one charged per rental day.
During the contract, any defect will be remedied only with the consent of the owner or by him, in the services authorized by Rentanddrive rent a car.
When parking the car in the specially arranged spaces, the related fee will be paid, after which the car will be locked and insured, to avoid possible thefts. Original documents will never be left inside the car while it is parked. Terms and Conditions Rent a car
The customer undertakes to return the rented car at the end of the rental period in its original condition. Any change in the initial condition by hitting or destroying will lead to the partial or total use of the guarantee fund set up during the rental period.
The customer is prohibited from selling, subletting, or pledging the rented car.
1. Age
To rent a vehicle from Cluj -Napoca, it is mandatory for the driver to be at least 21 years old and/or to have a category B driving license, of at least one year. The owner reserves the right to refuse to rent a car to a customer without any further explanation. Terms and Conditions
2. Delivery
The minimum rental period is 2/ days. The first hour of delay is free. The next 2 hours are charged at 10 euros/hour. Any delay over this period will be charged at the full value of a full day’s rent. See our delivery rent a car Cluj on Traian Vuia
Any delay that exceeds 8 hours will be considered as bad intention or possibly theft, leading to the loss of the guarantee fund or, as the case may be, to the announcement of the police, the car theft department, for the forced recovery of the car. Terms and Conditions
The vehicle is delivered to the customer, based on this contract, in good general and functional condition. Upon delivery, the landlord is obliged to notify the customer about any minor defects, and he reserves the right to accept or not the rental. Terms and Conditions
The delivery of the car is made after the signing, by both parties, of this contract, the payment of the guarantee and the taxes by the client.
Upon delivery of the vehicle, the customer is entrusted with his identification documents, in Xerox copy.
The customer is materially liable for any damage or injury caused by an accident caused by entrusting the vehicle to a driver unauthorized by the owner.
3. Method of payment / Tariffs applied
The rental rates are those present in the offer, to which are added certain discounts depending on the number of rental days.

Payments can be made in euros or ron by cash or by credit/debit card Master / Visa.
The rates include compulsory insurance, full helmet insurance, Rovinieta (road tax) plus wash taxes!
The tariffs do not include traffic and parking fines, fuel, rubber wedges, or tires cut for various reasons.
4. Insurance
The used vehicles have CASCO insurance valid on the Romanian territory.
7.14. In the event of an accident caused by the renter’s fault, the renter agrees to pay an excess of EUR 200.
In the event of an accident, the renter is responsible for the cost of transporting the vehicle by recovery truck from the accident location to the premises of British Explore SRL.
If the accident is caused by the renter’s fault, the rental agreement shall be automatically suspended, and the lessor is not obliged to provide a replacement vehicle.
If the accident is caused by another road user, the lessor will provide a replacement vehicle, subject to availability within the fleet.
In the event of an accident resulting in a total economic loss, the renter agrees to pay an excess equal to 10% of the vehicle’s value.
In all cases where the renter is at fault in an accident, a EUR 200 excess is payable.
7.15.
- Loss or damage of the vehicle keys will be charged EUR 200.
- Loss or damage of the vehicle registration documents will be charged EUR 100.
7.16.
The vehicle includes CASCO (comprehensive) insurance. However, the insurance does not cover:
- Tires;
- Wheels/Rims;
- The vehicle interior;
- The underbody/undercarriage of the vehicle.
7.17.
Refueling the vehicle with any type of fuel other than the one specified in the rental agreement is strictly prohibited.
If the vehicle is refueled with the wrong type of fuel, the renter shall pay an administrative fee of EUR 200, in addition to all costs incurred to remedy the situation, including but not limited to:
- Vehicle recovery/towing;
- Draining and cleaning the fuel system;
- Necessary repairs;
- Replacement of damaged components;
- Any other damages or losses caused to the vehicle as a result of using the incorrect fuel.
These will be certified by a specialized car workshop.
The insurance does not cover damages caused by the customer as a result of the consumption of alcohol, drugs, or other substances prohibited by law. In these cases, the customer will bear all repair costs, including days of service. Terms and Conditions Rent a car
The insurance does not compensate for the theft of the car if it is left with the keys in contact, unlocked, and unattended. To compensate for the theft, it is mandatory to present the key with which the car was handed over to the customer. Terms and Conditions Rent a car
The insurance does not cover any traffic fines during the lease, they are borne by the customer.
If the fine arrives by mail at a later time, the report of finding the contravention will be returned to the police within the locality where the contravention occurred, accompanied by the documents of the person who signed the lease or the user designated by him. Terms and Conditions Rent a car
5. Documents required for renting a car

La voiture nous a été livrée directement à notre logement à Cluj-Napoca, avec signature du contrat sur place. Tout était parfaitement conforme à nos échanges via WhatsApp (envoi préalable de notre CNI et permis). Le véhicule était fourni avec le plein de SP95, pour 1200 km sur 6 jours, et sans dépôt de garantie — un vrai plus- pour un montant de 220€/ 6 jours.
L’équipe est très réactive, disponible et sympathique. La voiture était très propre. Présence d’une roue de secours, appréciable.
Pendant tout le séjour, ils ont répondu rapidement à nos questions. Le retour s’est fait simplement au bureau situé à côté de l’aéroport : restitution avec le plein, comme convenu, à seulement 2 minutes du terminal. Nous avons même été déposés directement à l’aéroport. Pas de formalités à la restitution, ni état des lieux fait — une relation basée sur la confiance, très appréciable.
Je recommande sans hésiter !

A big advantage is that they came to pick me up directly from the airport and, at the end, took me back to the Cluj-Napoca Airport. Also, their office is only 2 minutes from the airport, which makes everything very fast and convenient.

Compania ne-a așteptat la aeroport, ne-a predat mașina rapid, curată și pregătită de drum. La plecare, am predat vehiculul tot la aeroport, la 4 dimineața, iar ei au fost acolo la timp, fără nicio întârziere.

However, I had good cooperation from the staff, who were willing to make the necessary adjustments so that someone else could drive.
There is no need for a guarantee, the displayed price includes insurance in case the car is damaged.

Child seat's brand was Juju, doesn't seem to have been tested properly for safety by ADAC or a similar association.

Am inchiriat timp de o luna, doua autovehicule, Skoda Ovtavia (2019) cutie manuala si Seat Leon (2017) cutie automata. Starea masinilor este foarte buna, nu am avut nici o problema tehnica.
Am apreciat faptul ca am platit doar pretul de inchiriere, nu mi s-a cerut nici o alta taxa in plus. Personalul super ok, am preluat si am predat masina fara nici o problema. La predarea masinii, am fost transportat fara nici un cost intr-o localitate de la periferia Clujului.
Important de mentionat este ca autovehiculele au asigurare full CASCO.
Pretul inchirierii pe durata unei saptamani e foarte bun din punctul meu de vedere.

O foarte bună experiență. Am fost așteptați la aeroport de persoana care ne-a adus mașina, care a fost foarte curată și care a funcționat foarte bine (DACIA Logan). Persoana care ne-a așteptat ne-a făcut o mică reducere pentru scaunele pentru copii. Sincer am fost foarte mulțumiți de prestație.

Meeting Andrei to pick up the car was seamless and stress free as usual; Andrei is extremely friendly and accommodating, he is easy to contact on WhatsApp if there are any issues and he’s always very accommodating for my stay. When we returned the car on the last day we met with our contact as planned, and he even offered to give us a lift to our final destination! We thought this was extremely caring and thoughtful, we really appreciated this. Andrei also made some good conversation with us and made us feel very welcome, we appreciated the extra lengths he went to provide an outstanding service.
Once again, the car was very clean and in amazing condition. We had no issues and I will happily use Rent and Drive next time I visit Cluj. They are the best car company in Romania, without a doubt!

In ceea ce priveste pretul, in comparatie cu ce exista pe piata de la Cluj va pot zice ca e cel mai bun, in plus de atata, daca am inchiriat pe o perioada mai lunga administratorul firmei imi facea alt pret fara ca eu sa cer asta ! We had a very good experience with renting our car and although the company had a hiccup with their booking system after we booked online, we've been kept informed about what's happening through good, clear communication over the phone and WhatsApp. Although the car we chose initially was no longer available we've been provided with another one from a higher price rental bracket for the same original car price. The car was in perfect condition and almost brand new with only ~8000 km on the clock. The pick up and drop off was very smooth and quick with a representative waiting for us at the airport when we landed and on our departure. Our return flight had a slight change of schedule so we returned the car an hour later than initially booked for. We communicated this with rentanddrive beforehand and they were very accommodating and made no fuss about it.
We'll definitely look at using RentAndDrive again.
